My Rover 45's rear bumper has a large crack in it,
mentioned here before (Wall jumped out behind me).

Currently looking for replacement bumpers from scrappys.
Just wondering is the 400's bumper identical apart from the
lack of chrome?

ie if I found a really good condition 400 bumper, resprayed
it the right colour, and added the chrome inserts, would
it fit my 45?

Cheers
Chris.

at least 3 different styles that were done on the 400...
Think I'll keep searching for a 45 bumper!

there are two different rear bumpers for the 95-99 rover 400, one for the hatchback and one for the saloon.
same as for the ZS, two different rears.

Cheers for the offer Dave
Unfortunatley the bumpers become a matter of urgency,
since it's looking like it may snap off soon...

Back in December I got sold one for £60 including delivery,
thing is they told me it was gold to match the car, then
changed their minds after the sale and it turned blue...
I've been hoping a gold one might just come along,
but it seems they're a tad rare.

So now I've realised I'm just gonna have to get one the wrong
colour resprayed the right colour, and just this after noon been quoted
£100 for one the wrong colour. DOH!

It's gonna be about £140 to get it resprayed...

if it's just a crack and not a huge distortion you could get yours repaired and resprayed for the price of respraying the new one.

In my experience, just as you give up looking for any body panel in the right colour and condition and have gone to the trouble of repainting one dozens of the damn things suddenly become available....AARRGGHHH!!!:guns2:
