you need to take the casing off and see if the regulator bolts have fallen out, behind the shedder in the centre of the door

 

unscrew the door pull remove the door handle and (if fitted) window winder.
plus a plastic screw near the top front of the door card

then using a large flatbladed screw driver pop the door card off starting at the bottom left (front end)

seen this loads buddy the glue on the white brackets is crap and the glass just comes off.so nothing is broken just needs re glueing

 

with a little luck it is just what ashley said!

 

simple fix if you have the right glue windscreen glue is ideal but can cost.it may be cheaper to get anotherglass from a breakers yard.

 

Careyd, if your in NI i have glass which you can have, or failing that take the car along to RAC windscreens & autoglass and ask them to rebound the clip to the glass (but leave the door card striped off so they dont have to get there hands dirty lol

They may well do it for free.

Same problem i have, my door window mechanism is broke, getting it fixed tomorrow though, thank god for rover breakers
