I have just purchased a V plate Rover 400 Xli. Unfortunatly it has come with no unlocking nut to remove the locking nuts on the alloy wheels. I don't think the locking nuts are Rover fitted as thereis no mention of the security code in the handbook. All the other codes sre there(Radio/Emergency Access) but not for the locking nuts. How do I go about removing them so I can put some new one's on where I have a unlocking nut.

if you haven't got the special tool

it's either ...meet up with other rover owners ...till you find one that fits

or drill and machine the old ones off

all the best.mark

You need to work out if you are dealing with Rover or aftermarket. The Rover ones have two notches and the key is identified by a two digit code. Spare keys are available. The Rover ones are relatively easy to get off as I discovered when my key disintegrated.

If you are dealing with aftermarket then that could be harder....
