Hope someone can help, I own a Rover 25 1.6 iL and of late am losing coolant about a litre a week. No problems when driving and the oil isn't milky or foamy. There is a bit of steam from the exhaust but nothing to write home about.
Thanks in advance

Before someone annouces it's terminal HGF,

do a visual,
check your water pump isn't leaking, it's behind the plastic cover on the side of engine,

also run hand and a visual check and also check the back of the engine where the inlet manifold(bit that says injection on it) meets the head/block.

worth changing your coolent expansion cap, about £4-£5 from dealer dont use pattern ones !!

also check heater matrix inside car/under carpet. and any pipe joints for crystalised coolent where it might be leaking inc radiator.

And if that doesnt come up with anything, get a pressure test and a block test done max £30. This should show up, when all else has failed, if you have the aforementioned HGF! DUM DUM DUUUUM!

even if it does turn out to be head gasket, all is not lost, cost about 300-400 for a garage to put right, unless you handy with a spanner.

do checks and post back your finidings
