My 1.4 r 25 is about to come up for it's 4 year service next month. The local rover dealer has quoted £307.00. A bit steep I thought, so having a reasonable knowledge of things mechanical etc I intend to take the plunge and DIY. As the car is now four years old it is also due a coolant change which seems to be straight forward. However I have read on this site that the system must be bled correctly. How many bleed points are there and where are they. Is it difficult and is there any problems I should know about.

yeah if u dont do it properly you end up with head gasket faliure which is a 350+ repair on its own be very careful when chaning the coolant on a k series engine. this is exactly how i did it on mine and i did it as per haynes, thought id bled it properly no dramas temp didn't move 2 months later starts losing coolant into the engine.
