Just bought Rover 220 sd 96 n reg, can anybody tell me what mpg I should be getting? Ive worked out Im only getting 55 mpg. I travel to work and do mainly straight run on dual carriageway at roughly 70 mph!! Should I be getting more?
Car has had some services ie new cambelts and oil change. Not sure what else, think its had new glow plugs and battery?
Is it using too much fuel and what would be causing this?

I wish i could get 55mpg from my R25 derv. You are doing really well. Be happy!!!

sounds about right thats probably about as good as you will ever get, thats as good if not better than most 2.0l diesels on the road even today, let alone a 10 year old rover

Lucky, I used to see around 43-45 from my ZR TD. But I did treat it like a GTi

I would say 55MPG is pretty good going
