Had to take my car to local garage to have sump pan replaced. Shortly after leaving garage was sitting at lights and car felt jittery. I have been told that the garage would have had to remove the manifold to replace the sump pan. Is this true because it now sounds like the exhaust is blowing a little.

Yes, the exhaust manifold needs to be lowered to gain access to some of the sump bolts, perhaps they didnt re-tighten it, or didnt replace the manifold gasket..hope this helps.
