Given the age nd the fact the shocks are going to be near the end of their best life anyway, I would do both.

But have had the weight of an L series engine sitting on them for 7 years.

They won't last long with lowering springs.

Not too bad a job. Just give yourself time in case of any issues like siezed bolts. Don't do it on a day when you must have it the next for use.

Not sure what kit would be best for a diesel though.

Pi is just crap.
Gmax won't take the weight of the L series.

So, something like Avo springs with spax shocks I guess.
