please i need some help how did you route the speaker wires from the inside of the doors to the inside of the car because i look at using the rubber gaiter that takes the other electics to the car but there is a big socket/plug stopping me from doing this! does anyone have any ideas??

Why do you need to go through the grommit at all?. If you are putting components in the dorr panel, why don't you use the exsisting pos neg cable that is already going in and then connect up. Your components have a cross over so you don't need any more wires! Hope this helps
He probebly thinks the standard wires are pants, which they are! To get the most out of stereos u need decent speaker wire.

hi mate,

i think that the best thing that you can go is run the cable out between the door and the door card and under the door rubbers, i have had to do this on mine after fitting my mtx comps. you can then make a small hole in the rubber gaitor on the wing and push the wires through it. There is a nice place for the crossover to. be tucked to the right of the fusebox. wrap some black tape around the cables and you don't notice them, its really late now (just watched the last episode of 24, i must be the only person not to have seen it before now  ) but i will take some pics for you tomorrow.

I cut a small slit in the black gaitor at either end, then at the door end I took the plug and socket apart (put your arm through the speaker hole and pull hard (watch your elbows, metal hurts!!!))

Then when parted, I used a pair of cutters to cut a small groove into the edge of the plug and the socket. Then, when you put them back together, you will be left with a hole that you can poke the speaker cable through. Its fiddly, but You cant see anything when finished, cause it is all hidden by the gaitors. The cable is then taped tor cable tied to the gaitor.

Obviously, make sure you leave a little slack on the cable between the car and door.

Its A Doddle Mate ;)

Right Then Mate Ive Just Done This Meself To My Mrs Car And It Sounds A Gemm Now !!

First Off Unscrew The Door Panels

Reach In And Give A Good Tug On The Block To Realese All Door Electrics (you Can Now Examine Your Block For Any Corrision And File The Connecters Clean)

There Are Only A Few Holes In Use So Depending On The Thickness Of Your Wire Push It Through An Existing Hole, Or Use A Hand Drill To Increase The Size

Feed The Wires Through And Then Start Feeding It Up The Channel To Go Into Your Main Section Of The Car To The Rear Of The Fuses

It Now Becomes A Complete **** Trying To Get The Wire And Your Fingers To Meet So A Bit Of Patience Is Required ;)

Using Tie Backs Attach The Wire Next To The Existing Wire Loom So It Can Be Identified

Run It To The Rear Of Your Stereo And Woo Hoo!

Please Note A Real Large Amount Of Force Is Required To Make The Block Connectors Snap Into Place

To Wire To The Rear Simply Lift Up The Carpet And Remove The Back Panels And Loom It Through Again Easy Peasy !!
