Does anyone know if the roll bars on the 600 really are bars or are they actually tubes? I've never handled one off-car, so have no idea how much they weigh, Of course, there's quite a difference between rust on a bar or rust on a tube!
Yes they are a solid bar and quite heavy. I wish you well in your Rover.
I shall be putting my partner's 600 in the garage in the next few weeks for some much needed TLC. She loves driving it, says its the most comfortable car she's ever sat in.
Good luck, Jonney.

Hahaa yes they are lovely cars and quite deceiving with their smooth ride.
I must have deleted part of the last comment accidentally. I meant to say my partner drives a 620Si and she loves it lol. I've had a few over the years, two diesels and a ti, Sarah has had a 618 and her current 620, both automatic. I need to take hers off the road very soon and address the rust which is setting in around the rear arch and sills on both sides. Apart from that the only other issue we've had is the gearbox slipping which was remedied by a change of oil and some Lucas stop slip added.
