The first official image of the Roewe MG 6, based on the Roewe 550 and destined for sale in the UK under the MG brand, has surfaced online ahead of the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show.
The first photos of the stylish new MG 6 popped up late last year in a Chinese automotive magazine. The images revealed the MG 6’s external styling, front and back, as well as a shot of the hatch’s modern interior, lifted from its progenitor, the Roewe 550.
The MG 6 has benefited from an international design effort, with styling contributions coming from studios in both China and the UK.
While the flood of rip-off designs continues to flow seemingly unabated out of China, certain manufacturers, like Roewe, are making headway in establishing their reputations as respectable members of the international automotive industry with strong futures ahead.
We’re looking forward to Roewe’s offerings at Shanghai this year, and MG’s recovery in the UK market (there’s something of ‘waking the dead’ in this).
Yes the front end is a little bland, but its not being seen from its best angle i dont think. The bottom half of the bumper/valance is very similar to the sketch that was seen last week which showed a much stronger grill and lights so im inclined to think that when seen head on and in a less air-brushed shot it will be a little more definite
This car looks awesome! Really like the front end, but the rear is a bit of a worry? How much headroom is actually there? Will we get told when its launched and will there be any interior shots?

I've bought a low mileage (40k) 2013 MG6 to replace the 200 bubble diesel I've used for the last 18+ years, and so far (3 weeks in) I'm a happy enough bunny. What I would like from any other owners is (i) advice on what to keep an eye on, (ii) any details on the 2 safety recalls, so I can check...
Hi there!
My trusty old 2002 ZS is in for the MOT and... it doesn't look good, so as a precaution I've been checking out what else is on Autotrader.
I noticed that the MG6 Magnettes are reasonably priced for their age and mileage, however I've always wondered how easy these are for getting...
Can anyone tell me why a 65 plate 2016 6 would have been MOT'd not long after its registration date and also MOT'd in 2018.
It should not have been due for it's first MOT until January 2019?
Confused never came across this situation before unless it is to do with it being a prototype from...
I received a call from a very professional sounding salesman from West Riding MG in Bradford today in response to an email enquiry I made at the weekend. He looked at a part-x deal for my 54 ZT135Cdti and came back with a figure I wasn't happy with. His demonstrator on the other hand was of...
