HI

MG TF 135

My reversing lights work fine until engine is warm then they wont come on.
Can the switch be tweaked or is it better just replacing it?

Thanks

Allan - I am a newbie as well. MY TF does exactly the same thing - TF reversing light switches are not known to be too reliable. i have bought a new switch, Rimmer have them, Pt. No. CDU51 at £35.10 - but I haven't yet got around to fitting it yet!

Thanks Dave, yeah I read this was an issue. I have one on order via ebay but just £15(metal body)

Hopefully it does the trick

It may be worth finding an extra copper washer to put under the switch as sometimes they need to be slightly adjusted in depth to work correctly. I had to add one thin copper washer to mine to get it working properly. You can change it without emptying the gearbox, just be quick with the swap-over and have a couple of rags available.
