Mechanic said that the o/s cv boot was leaking grease and needed replacing, what is involved? thanks

any one, this will need doing for the MOT and any info would help

you can buy a cv boot kit from any motorfactors and you just remove the old one pour the grease on (which is supplied) and the new boot should be in two halfs position it on the shaft and glue it together (with glue supplied) and then apply the ties and thats practically it it will be easyier to jack the car up and remove the wheel hope this helps

The description above is for a split boot kit - they CAN be fitted successfully but you have to be really careful when gluing the two halves together.
