removing the prop shaft to make her a 2wd help please :)

Ello freelander experts i need just a little bit of help in making my dads freelander 2wd as its banging from the prop shaft when reversing all i really need to no is when removing the prop shaft do i just need to put a blanking plate on the IRD unit ?? or is there anything else to cap off or anything else i need to do any help would be awesome :)

looking at getting a feelander

once i sell my 2nd mgf and scenic i am looking at buying a year 2000 or there about freelander as its around the same seating as the scenic
but what do i look for i have tons of engine parts for the 1.8 petrol so that is not a problem and mean to have it in the summer as 2wd
can you buy a bearing kit for the transfer box plus any info or sticky on this
as much info as poss as it will be late summer when i buy one
