Not paranoid about it, but what are the advantages of a remote thermostat?
Every other "K" series marque seems to manage quiet well with the original concept; I can see the over cooling front radiator effect, thermal cycling etc, but is the MG-R setup any better than say a QED, apart from faster heater warming!!
Also, another thread is discussing header tanks with low coolant warning, stuff off the new R 25/45 models
My 02 135 is of the original setup, is it worth converting?

Not quite true. The Elise boys have long been fitting remote stats, The Freebie comes standard with one (though not the same as the TF I understand), the new TF comes standard with it. Evidence is limited, but there are no 03 or 04 HGFs listed in the HoS, but there are still 02s. Now that's not proof, but a good indication.
