Nice one Herbie!

I recall when I took my (at the time) nearly 10 year old `F` for its MOT last year!!..

The car had a very slight knock which for the life of me I could not find, so was hoping the MOT test would pick something up!!..

When the Tester passed it I was a little dissapointed and said to him "Are you sure its all allright"..

His reply was "In 20 years of MOT testing your the first person that is unhappy their car PASSED first time"..

Congratulation from what I can gather the TÜV is very tuff, at lest in your case it’s a biannual event.

I was a bit nervous, too Pete but everything went well.
Saw the car from underbody and hey: the garage did a fantastic job, looked like new !

The TÜV-man was cool... asking the usual questions:
"where can I find the chassis number, does the car have a headlamp beam height control etc." .... Nice convo, t'was gentle :)

Mark, I asked him the same question :haha:

Yeah Chris you are right, they are tough depending on mood and day.... and it's bi-annual *tshaka* ;)

Thanks for your comments :)

It was hard day for me today tbh, first I had to digest the EURO finals result followed by being left in the dark with the car for a good while !
*Puuh, I need a couch, all will be well, calm down dear *

Thanks Perry. Yep indeed, about 26°-28° forecasted until Thursday. Mind you my F is okay but my pockets are a bit empty atmo. Need a fuel sponsor ;)

You guys certainly do it hard over there with MOT.
Here (Australia) and particularly in regional areas like where I am, they don;t even look at the car when you register it. Not even for the engine number...they just take your word :)
Private mechanics do the Road Worthy Certificate (same as MOT but no emission testing) so always a good idea to have one as a friend!

That sounds cool. I just don't know how much traffic you have in your area but for some reasons it think it's related.

Way too much cars here ... especially those Beemers / Mercs who think they own the streets (factory build-in right of way)

Danke Jan, Danke Iain :)

No TÜV today, my F had "signifant advisories" :(

- Needs a new o/s rear tyre
- Marker lights not working :dunno: :moon:
(stand lights are all working, maybe he didn't know about the function of the side repeaters  )

BUT ....
Nothing else, car's in brilliant condition. Even the Daytona wasn't mentioned in the slighest which was my biggest worry. New Toyos (which are already in my 2010 list) all round ordered, time for the retest until 10/6. Only the tyres wuhaha, great !..........

Watch this space ...
