Rear screen - get the polish out

Despite washing it regularly my rear screen had all the optical properties of a glass of milk so yesterday, as recommended on here (thanks!), I polished it with Autoglym.

It's now transparent! I can see through it!

In fact it's clearer than it was on delivery (and the cloth I used is absolutely black)!

The downside? It's raining here in Leeds despite the forecast for sun. It seems that every time I get the polish out...

I did mine a few weeks ago and was appalled by the state of the cloth.
I couldn't believe how dirty mine was - especially as I had kept washing the screen to try to improve visibility!

Did you do the inside as well?
Inside and out.

Inside was the more difficult: I needed elbows that would bend beyond straight!

If anyone's doing the outside, remember that with the screen left zipped up to keep it firm, the hood will pull away from it along the top and two edges to avoid getting polish on the hood material.

A tip for polishing the rear screen is do the outside vertically and the inside horizontally then you will know whether the polish that's left is on the inside or outside.
I shall remember that for next time!
