low fob battery IIRC

 

I sold my Rover 25 2001 to a friend a couple of years ago, she came to me today, each time the car is ulocked with the remote, the red LED on the dash flashes twice then a pause then flashes twice, pause..... it does this for about 10 seconds then goes off

Anyone know what i's trying to tell me ?

The alarm has never been trigered

Hang on the 25 is meant to flash for 10 secs showing that alarm etc is activated, its 45 secs for the low fob battery - mine has done ten secs since i got it last sept - i know i often count it.

 

It flashes like that when the car is locked, which indicates that the alarm is arming. When it is unlocked, if it flashes twice, and keeps doing it for a bit, that is low battery in the fob.

Similar thing on a Rover 100 too, and probably most MGR models.

I believe you i just need to read that myself or my stupid memory wont remember the right thing again! :O

 

Thanks everyone, the battery has never been changed from new (2001). Will see to it straight away.
