been reading alot of the threads

and got me wondering

my mgf has full service history and is due its next one soon
its done 85000 miles
its running great but wondered if i should replace the cambelt and hg on next visit no mention of having them done before in the service history

answers on a post card please

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Leave the HG alone for now, but the belts would be an idea to change! Might be worth checking the water pump and tensioners while your down there too!

If it has a true Full Sevice History then it SHOULD have been done at 60K (or 5 yrs, or 4 yrs depending on age of car, as it has changed, after MY2000 I think).

If you have the cash , then by all means get them changed, as having anew cambelt/water pump etc is not going to be a disadvantage in any way but as Kris said, if it aint broke...
