Hello everyone.
I am new to the forum but have been reading it for a while. I bought a
Rover 75 2.5 auto before Christmas, a few problems inc cam sensor.
Anyway I decided to check the plenum drains and was suprised at the
colour of the pollen filter, so I got a new one from my nearest x-part
dealer. Removed the wiper arms. trim and carefully removed ECU. Old
pollen filter removed and new one replaced no problems, replaced
the big bit of plastic that goes over the bottom of the windscreen,
wiper arms back on then the problem!!! The little black cover that goes
over the nut on the wiper arm droped back into the plenum chamber!
So off with wiper arms plastic trim off and with a torch there it was under
the brake survo, off with the wiper motor and the plastic cap was in the
forth plenum drain. A bit surrprised as I havent heared about the forth drain.
I cant be the only one to have found this.

You dont need to take the wiper arms off to check the plenum drains so you may be the only one to have found this

Hi, welcome to the forums.

We (well, I) have known about the 4th plenum drain for a long long time ever since I found the exit for it whilst under the car one day. No-one believed me but people are finally starting to get the drift!

See here:-

Also, you dont' have to remove any of the stuff you did to replace the pollen filter, but you get their with practice :)
