It's just finished, but BBC WM may interview TW in a couple of minutes.

Suggests the Chinese may still be interested.

Says he feels betrayed by BMW, satisfied with the Government.

PWC are likely to try to keep production going in some form.

I posted a story from AP in the merged thread that suggested that the talks were not off at all according to China. I wonder if there is some sort of game going on here to precipitate some sort of beficial outcome for MGR by writing off old debts and problems and starting with a clean slate?

I reckon that's fairly likely but it's not much consolation to all those who will still lose their jobs, and the suppliers who are still owed by the current MGR.

Bad debts could really finish small suppliers off, and it would mean that new sourcing would have to go on for the new MGR, which would inevitably mean sourcing in China or India (not just for the cost, but because the British companies won't want to deal with them any more).
