Hi Guys,

I have a ZR 105 and am wanting to make it as perky as possible, i am just about to buy an induction kit/Filter Thingy and have found a K&N 57i for £40 and was planning on investing in it.

Is this a good idea and what, if any power gains am i likely to see?

If this is not a good idea please recommend any reasonably priced investment opportunities that will offer some kind of noticable improvement to power.

Cheers

Open cone filter = nil gain and possible power loss on a road car.
Enclosed filter such as BMC offers some performance benefit.
Deburr the exhaust manifold
Fit a cat back performance exhaust system
Buy a Superchips Icon from Ebay.

Sounds about right. Expensive stuff this modding lark!

I think ashy put them in order of what you should do if you're looking for power gains on a 1.4, so a superchip is the last stage before you need to have serious (£1000+) work done. Correct me if i'm wrong though.:)

You obviously don't read posts properly before making comments...just to reiterate:
Buy a Superchips Icon from Ebay.
Usually go for around £80. Cheapest 5 BHP and more low down torque you will get that actually does work.

Or PM Nebburns. I sold him mine a while back and is set up for a 1.4 K series. I don't think he will need it any more now that he has a Vi.
