my 93 Metro Manhattan. 5 door, 1.4 manual. Bought for £250, with 10 months MOT and tax, from a factory in the countryside. They had owned it for 11 years and used it to ferry workers from one plant to another. great little runner, and plenty nippy too

Very nice cars. Red one looks amazing for the year. Just a slight problem I spotted with the bonnet. Is it slightly lifted?
Nah it's just sitting a bit high, always has for some reason on that side.
My Rag-Top Rover

Hello All, Just Joined up!

Here is my beloved 114 Cabriolet.

Everything is original, except for some reason the previous owner's husband thought it would be a nice idea to spray the hub caps on the alloys to match the body colour, and left one in its primer.

Apart from that, its all original. Including the roof, which suprisingly doesn't have that many tatty bits, except for a little bit at the O/S/R above the mechanism. Still watertight, and starts on the key every time.

The rubber bung near the head light that supports the bonnet has a threa on it, screw it down... ?
my mk1, slowly going through the stages of improvement. i have lowered and stiffened it, fitted gaz adjustable dampers on the front, changed the manifolds and the exhaust system for janspeed items. and now im doing the brakes. i have just bought some alloy minifins that im modifying to fit, and then im looking for some alloy calipers for the front and will be swapping to vented discs and some decent pads.

when i picked it up it had done 21k, its just rolled onto 31k. i use this everyday which means cleaning it all the time, and keeping on top of maintenence.

I'm aware of that, have had the car for 16 years now (crikey) and spent a bit of time more than once trying to sort that out. In the end I spend more money making it go faster than getting it looking 100% ;)
wicked! Whats the deal with suspension on the trailer? Any more pics of the conversion?
just welded up the pipes ,got a few pic's of it being cut in half lol i am planning now to upgrade the engine as it a little under powered when towing
Itsonlyme54 has lots of engines. A nice MEMS3 1600 would go nicely. However, I would upgrade to at least a front ARB and maybe MGF/ Metro GTi vented discs if your towing a lot.

Would probably help a lot if you fitted a GTi rear arb to the trailer.

was asking about a anti roll bar when i was making it but it never happened as a matter of fact it tows realy well and is well balanced so easy to move about but it is a absolute pig to reverse .yes mgf brakes are on the cards i want a straight swap if possible so would like to keep the distributer type engine unless it can be easy modded to the coil pack type cheers for help
Ohh okay, get a pre 2001 K series engine. As long as your car is currently MPi, any solid cam K series will go in using your existing wiring loom but you'll need to swap the ECU, 5as and fobs.
