Hello
I have a 2015 MG3 and looking for some advice regarding possible faulty fuel pump.
Earlier when driving I noticed the engine sounded louder than usual, apart from this the car was driving fine. Then around 5 minutes later, it started to intermittently lose a lot of power for maybe 30 seconds at a time. I pulled over, switched off for a couple of minutes then started back up and it drove home fine for the 5ish miles.
Just as I arrived home, it started losing power again, and the Idle was quite rough, dropping pretty low. Finally I noticed when starting up, there is a rough noise from the back from what I'm assuming is the fuel pump.
Can anyone weigh in and confirm if a dodgy fuel pump is the most likely cause? If so, how easy is it to access and change? Any other things I should check or consider first?
Thanks
Tom
