Embarrasing....

the first part ive removed from the vi i am breaking that i didnt label....

dont have my rave or haynes in the garage with me...

can anyone name the part sitting at the back of engine ( top) that sits between the fuel filter, and the expansion tank......a cannister shaped thing with "purge" on top.......many cables - 5 i think from it - one that goes to fuel filter ) pump? if i remmber it has a short cable that goes to inlet ( just right of throttle body)

i know its fuel related but havig difficulty describing over phone to a mate without its proper name.....

Controls some of the cars evaporative emissions, if I understand RAVE correctly

...would make sense as its got "purge" writen on it - ie to clean !!
