Ok, so I have most of the components ready for my brake conversion.

I am just wondering about anything else I may require (and to save my mechanic friend having a go at me for missing stuff out LOL)

I will need new brake fluid, I want dot 5.1 as I will be trackdaying the car - how much do I need in the conversion?

Also, braided hoses are on my shopping list - are there any recommended brands (or ones to avoid) with these?

Finally, is there anything else I need? I have :

AP brakes (on hubs)

Wheels (will have soon)

Braided hoses

Brake fluid

Thank you please :)

Brake bleeding kit.

DOT 5.1 is unnecessary even for track day use. DOT 4 will be more than adequate.

And as a quide, when I had a Rover 416, I changed the brake fluid in it, It took less than 1L of fluid for a complete change.

Edit just seen a mechanic is gonna do this... They will have the brake bleeding kit already.

For a small increase in price I would use DOT 5.1 because it has a higher boiling point and greater tolerance to water absorption than DOT 4 which means that fluid fade is less likely to occur especially at trackdays.
