Oh dear, more coolant hose issues

Bugger. After the streetwise has been running like a dream for over a month now (even with a bodged pipe) another part of the coolant system has given up.

This time though I fear it may be more serious...

The little hose that the return feed pipe goes on has snapped off! (the one at the top of the radiator).

How serious is the poo I am in here chaps? There's no way I can get the return pipe back onto it as it has just sheared off.

Is this a new radiator jobby? :(

Cheers

Wow, your not having much luck!! Im not sure if its a new rad job or not but have seen this one on ebay that fits a 25 diesel... not sure if its the same?

There dosn't seem to be hardly any for the diesel models on ebay at all..
Any chance you can get a new barb inserted to get the pipe connected back up?
why the coolant issues? something wrong with your rig? :hgf:

Hmm, I could have a look but there's not much purchase so I'm not sure. Will have to get some opinions I think. (I'll try and get some photos up here soon)

lol I dunno man! But pretty much everything that could've split/burst/snapped on the coolant system has!

I've had 3 different pipes go (one twice) and now this!

Not cool! (no pun intended ) I am going to remove the undertray to see if that relieves any stress from the cooling system at all (under Pete's recomendation), but not too sure what else.

Looking back on it, I should've just gone for a milder remap I think. 150bhp with a bit less smoke and more reliability is sounding much more appealing to me in hindsight!

Cheers

Oh dear Benno good luck with the repairs though, you can get some pipes from Rimmers but be prepared to get rimmed with the price though.
Haven't seen you driving around for a while either.
unlucky mate! as stated see if you can find something like a hollow bolt and tap the hole in the rad so you can screw it in and glue it for example. you'll be able to use a piece of silicone to join the return line to the rad. measure the diameter of the hole in the rad and ill see if i can find something suitable to use

i snapped the connection the other end at the header tank by accidently leaning on it after fitted my ARP headstuds *facepalm*, luckily i was able to use some silicone hose and re-join it
