As I am going along in my Rover 100, there is a lot of rattling and banging coming from the rear suspension. It is like a muffled sound of something clunking or banging. Also, when I hit a large bump, the rear suspension makes a loud bang that sounds like it is hitting the bump stops.

The rear radius arms have been checked and they are OK. The ride height is correctly set and the whole suspension has been greased.

Any ideas what could be causing this noise?

Theres a rubber mount which sometimes comes apart on the rear subframe, jack the car up and shake the wheels to rock the subfram and look for where the movment comes from,
this happened on my 82 mk1 as the rubber can fail, its in this picture below
