I was reading the Accrington Observer this morning and came accross an ad for Primrose Link in the car section. The add states they are MG rover specialists,so I assume they have re-opened Primrose Garage on another site.

Just thought I would post here for all the flat cap whippet owning folk on the forum. We have another garage in the north to take our cars to, hooray!

Bob.

Only if you're a boy tracy:lol:
this is not primrose garage as such.

it is actually the former sales manager and service manager of primrose that have set up on thier own.

they have acquired the mg-rover equipment inc the t4.

they've also managed to keep the old primrose garage phone number as well.

my TF is currently in thier hands having it's head gasket replaced.

Let us know how you get on!

What a stereotype - Whippet owning, flat cap wearing. That's me, that is!
Thats interesting to know, I wondered what happened to them. The old site is now a new modern petrol/shop station.

I go to Clitheroe maybe once a month (get my ears lowered) and may take a look. Does anyone know if its a parts centre ?

it's a fairly small unit on an industrial estate so i wouldn't have thought so.
As a follow up to this post I took my F into Primrose a few weeks back for my leaking water pump. While it was in I had the camb belts done and a quick pop on the T4 to check out my high tick over. They also waxoyled a few bits underneath at no extra charge.

The whole thing cost £270 and I think this was very reasonable they even offered me a courtesy car.The other garage I rang up quoted over £600 for the same job and no T4.

The chaps at Primrose were great and very happy to talk about and give advice on MGR cars.I'm very happy with the service they provide and would not hesitate to return there with either of my MG's.I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone in the area.
yep i totally agree.

all my cars go there for servicing and repairs.
They do carry a few bits and pieces for MGF/TF and I believe they are also an authorized X-Part dealer. We got Stainless pipes from Ian a couple of weeks ago when Dora got a leak- he usually has these in stock- much faster (and cheaper) than the Bay of EEEE :woohoo:
I thoroughly agree with the above comments tho- they're great lads - very friendly and very knowledgable and I really hope they do well :broon:

EDIT - just confirmed...they ARE an X-part dealer and can definitely get parts!
