Hi

Have a 2003 Tf 160, but have lost keys and fobs. Have purchased a brand new lock set and am purchasing two new fobs which the supplying company will program to my existing alarm module.

As regards the ignition swith do I need to have it programed as well or does getting the fobs sorted with my alarm ecu get me back on the road.

Many thanks

Brian

Try to save the bar codes that come with the packaging for the keys. Its a unique code that will enable you to reprogram a new SCU if you ever have to replace it.

Yes, but that highly depends how many times fobs were used. If too many times, rolling code will pass outside bar code window and bar code has no value after that point since new SCU will not be able to "see" fobs by using the initial bar codes.
