Joe, as far as I know its exactly the same, its just a promotion from MG to try and shift some I guess.

What a nightmare! We have had one or two disgruntled customers complaining about this offer.The wording contained in a local newspaper ad was rather, shall I say, wishy-washy.It didn't really make it absolutely clear that the offer was only available for NEW registrations and didn't apply to already registered cars.One or two customers are so upset about it they have written to MG Rover to complain about the situation. I must admit, I didn't realise the hardtops were so damned expensive!

I ordered this new body coloured hardtop for my new MGF which I am still waiting to be delivered,and I am told I will not be getting it.
I now believe that there is no new hardtop and the offer that appears on the MG website is fictious.
