Went looking tonight for a Rover 25, saw one which is a 1.4 16v twincam. The dealer didn't know whether it was the 84ps or 104ps.
Year 2002, not sure whether anyone will be able to tell me or not but which one is this?

By the way the throttle body is alloy, if this helps?

have a look on the vin plate on the inside of the passenger door......it's on there.

although i'd be a bit wary if the dealer doesn't know which model it is!!

Cheers, I'll have to look next time I see it! It's not a large dealer, he only deals in 2nd hand cars. Paint work is a bit rough but other than that its totally clean!

don't think they did an alloy restricted (84ps) throttle body if this helps!!
all the throttle bodies on the 25 are alloy....restricted or not.

this was to stop the problems the 200 had with the plastic one sticking.

pretty sure mine is plastic. pull the throttle cable, if the tb has a lug on it to stop it going fully round its 84bhp. there should also be a plate next to the drivers seat, or round that area saying which version it is.If not, take off the air ducting to the tb and if it dosent open fully you have 84bhp

wrong lol mine was plastic
is yours an earlier one then???

on looking over previous threads it seems the pre 2001 cars still had the plastic ones........

mine is a 52 plate and has the alloy one.......although mine is the 103ps one.
