i dont have a picture to hand but...

locate where the driver's side driveshaft enters the gearbox. above this there is the crank sensor, in this very area there is a small hole to put your drill bit into. i would advise using a bright torch as its hard to see it without one

thanks that worked great now im having truble removing the engine mount plate any ideas on how to do it ?
well first off big thanks to russ would neer have found the hole without your help cheers mate rep you way :)

also i never managed is with my tools could not get at 2 of the bolts for the plate for ****e haha gonna have another go at them soon.
no worries mate, i had to use some extra long spanners to undo those bolts on that engine mount plate.

They're 15mm nuts from what i remember, try getting an old 6-sided ring spanner and sawing the other end off it so you can slide a tube over the spanner for extra leverage

there not easy i can say that even with help i didnt get it.

thanks tho really do appreciate it .
can anyone tell me what tool to use to get all 5 of the plate bolts off ?

the 2 in the corner is the ones im not having fun with.
i didnt bother locking it. Marked it all with tip-ex, seemed really stiff to move anyway. still running fine :)
Just a spanner and a lot of effort.
i did that still not budging at all ?
i put the car in 1st, then used a breaker bar, with a jack handle on the end of it, it cracked off with a huge bang. Took 2 of us to shift it
I just remove the engine mount and not the plate. This worked on my old 220SDI, ZR and ZS.

That is the flywheel bolt I presume

I think the poster means the 15mm nuts that hold the reinforcing plate for the engine mount on.
