Not as such, you just wont suffer from heat fade as easily. More stopping power needs bigger discs and/or a different disc compound (coupled with better calipers and pads)
yeah stopping quickly from 70 doesnt really feel that safe, may get bigger brakes in the future when i get some cash ,meant to be going on holiday next week so got that to pay for, but these will do for now, thanks for the reply.
As said they're more for looks rather than performance, do look really cool though, i'll be getting some similar brakes for when I get my 160 as I have 5 spoke wheels so they are highly visible.
nice looking brakes im looking for a pair of them but 282mm when i get some cash.
be useful for on track, combined with some decent pads, and DOT5 brake fluid.

NOOO! DOT 5.1 only. DOT5 would ruin the system as its a completely different composite(its silicone as opposed to the correct glycol ether based fluid). Not to mention that if the op has abs and used DOT 5 theyd be in the first ditch they came too.....

durgh. slightly slow moment for me there... too long a day at work I think. I knew what I meant but it didn't come out right :(

Lol i thought that the case, dont want people chucking dot5 in is all.
absolutely. I should have proof-read, but was being tired / lazy, and forgot about the composition difference.

on the subject of brakes, I think I may need new pipes, if I press the pedal first time it's fairly soft, second is much firmer. I still get good braking first press, but just like the sharpness of the second press. System was bled twice recently to try and sort the problem, think the lines are flexing slightly, allowing more pedal travel.
goodridge hoses FTW.
my Dad's motorbike ripped the test machine off the wall first time it went in with it's new hoses... the tester then took it out for a ride each year after that.
you got your discs and i´m still waiting for mine

ordered the blackdash(ultimax) discs over half a year ago @ banshee-motorsport -> they are not able to send them without delivery errors

i allready got redstuff´s , goodridge braided hoses , EBC high performance brake fluid -> but discs still missing :(

they look so nice ^^

Thanks for taking my advice. no they wont have the same stopping power as 282mm disks but a lot of people complain about disks warping, this does a lot to solve it.

do yours make a funny noise when you brake? kinda like a rattle snake.
