Well the MG is celebrating its 6th Birthday by passing its MOT again with no need to spend anything on it. The only advisories were number plate delaminating (it is the personalised plate from my old ZTT and is about 12 years old), and an abrasion on one tyre. To say that I am delighted with the robustness of this car is an understatement!

and it passed with tyre tread advisories. Getting 2 years with the Dunlop on the front. Think it will be the first time the rears will get replaced.
By the way here are the emissions results from the MOT. Is it just me or are the results really good here
Fast idle at 2500-3000rpm CO: 0. HC: 1
There's s Greek symbol with a spec. of 0.97-1.03, result: 1.01
Idle test at 450-1500rpm CO: 0

I checked up on what the results mean.

At fast idle, CO must be at or less than 0.2%, HC at or less than 200 parts per million (ppm), and the lambda value(1) must be between 0.97 and 1.03. At normal idle, CO must be at or less than 0.3%.
lambda is based on the HC and CO test and represents fuel to air mixture.
