Do you mean the little cubby type slot just under the left of the steering wheel?

I've just put a bit of that grip mat stuff inside and I keep my CD player remote there now .

I've never used it, just like how i've never used the tape holder.....
You could get some one to dust your car every once in a while though!

Talking of the cassette holder, is there a part that doesn't have the slots so I can put a flat nonslip mat in it and actually use the space????

 

Thats why i was looking at the streetwise interior, i suppose you could cut and then wet and dry the tape holder if you planned on colour coding the interior. I did see once some one who moved the heater controls down into the tape holder to make room for an lcd screen.

 

On my previous Rover 200 I mounted my bass boost controller from my amp in there. Was pretty much a perfect fit!

 

I use the tape holder to hold a biro and a pack of Extra mints - it fits perfectly. The small cubby by the wheel is largely useless although it does hold a half-pack of Polos well.

 

I had my voltmeter installed in the tape holder in my last car. The little cuppy hole i use for change for tunnel charges.

 

Is this on R25's and Rover 200's?.

Another cost saving exercise?......I find the coin drawer on my 1994 Rover 214 really useful......is this little cubby hole in lieu of that?

My C-Max has a coin tray just under the steering wheel that empties itself onto the floor if you use it.

I use it for a pack of them extra strong mint tins, that you find at garages..

haha i used this hole for some fuses at one point. never fell out lol.

u could also use it for a automatic money dispenser that dispenses ure chnage all over the floor, tkae your pick.

 

I used to try using it for storing my mobile in. Unfortunately it kept falling out as soon as I accelerated or started to brake and ended up under my feet making braking and depressing the clutch rather difficult. So now i find it a valuable place to store my marbles instead lol

I did fit a half eaten pack of fruit pastles in there yesterday when driving 5 hours back from wales :happy: it gave me quick access to sweets lol

 

I used to keep my radio remote in there, haven't seen it in a while though...

 

I put my bluetooth headset in there when i'm not using it....fits perfect and no-one can see it when I park in car parks..
