Hi all

I've recently fitted a K&N with pipes out the bottom.

Is it worth:

1. taking another 2 pipes to the side vents
2. buying/mking some kind of hot air shield

Any advice/views would be much appreciated.

Cheers

oh - it's an mgf vvc by yhe way

So its an open cone K&N yeah? Its going to need as much cold air as you can ram at it, and a heatsheild would be a good idea too...

1. You won't get to behind the offside (drivers) vent as there is a fan there for engine cooling but yes I would recommend running one to the nearside vent. After all, every little helps as they say.

2. Definitely worth knocking up some sort of heat shielding!
(Cadbury's cookie tins work quite well. ;) )
