About Us...

There are some new kids on the detailing block.

They were born with a passion for perfection back when car shampoo concoctions came from whatever was under the kitchen sink, heck, maybe the bathroom cupboard too.

Sometime during the year of 2005 the Sunday morning bucket and sponge wash for this lot would never be the same again. Just like gun crime and the economic meltdown going on now, there was a new buzzword freshly imported from the United States of America…Detailing.

The world of car care would never be the same again.

Gone were the sponges, the chamois leathers and makeshift bath drying towels. Gone were the ten year old bottles of T Cut and tins of Turtlewax, they were destined for that black bag of memories along with hedge strimmer wire, long since broken lawnmower spares and 3 in 1 oil.

The humble garden shed was to become an intrinsic part of an all new car cleaning regime revolution.

The next two years passed quickly, porter cables were imported and then deprived of their two pin plugs, pads and polishes were tested to destruction, scrap car bonnets were attacked with scouring pads and halogen light sales went through the roof, even photographs of tree reflections hit an all time high.

Fast forward to 2008 and those familiar garden shed names like Makita and Metabo were back where they belong. Buckets of all shapes and sizes stacked seven high in the corner are now half filled with grit guards which in a former life would have kept leaves out of your drainpipes. Old wooden shelves on white gloss painted brackets were creaking under the strain of litre bottles of paint polishes from all over the world, replacing the dried up magnolia emulsion you never got round to using again.

It was a glorious summer day and the heat from the halogen work lighting was nearly as powerful as the glare from the sun when the thought hit them; with a large number of cars now benefitting from perfect paintwork through hours of their love and devotion it was time to take the services out of the potting shed and out to the masses.

Midlands Detailing was born.

The aim was clear - to offer paintwork correction services to the masses. No flashy names, no advertising hype, this was to be the real deal. Midlands Detailing were going to offer detailing services to the man on the street - from super mini to supercar, they could cover it all. They didn’t need to have their name in lights – the reputation for the quality of work and customer satisfaction would be all the advertising they needed.

Motivation at Midlands Detailing was at an all time high, they knew they could turn heads and change perceptions – coming to work every day was easier for them knowing that people were coming back to them satisfied instead of trying to convince new customers and the man on the street that there was more to washing their pride and joy than a scouring pad and a ripped up dishcloth.

2009, remember that year.

This is the year that Midlands Detailing introduced affordable car cleaning and paint correction services. They cut the rubbish and got straight to the point – with affordable, expert detailing services they know that no matter what you drive and however you drive it, Midlands Detailing will get the finish your car deserves.

With so many detailers out there they knew that fast and cheap jobs were not the answer, low prices and fast work would go against everything they stood for – how could they be able to let themselves slip and do a job they were not happy with?

Midlands Detailing are a small family run company with pride in what they do - offering fairly priced services such as paintwork correction, interior valeting, scratch and scuff removal to winter under body protection – they know it is better to have one ecstatic customer than ten happy customers and the feedback so far speaks for itself.

Here at Midlands Detailing we are fully armed with the latest tools and professional products to help safely remove most paint defects your car may have picked up.

We can safely and effectively remove swirl marks, minor scratches and scrapes and real world damage such as tree sap, bird droppings, industrial fallout and road tar and grime.

We specialise in correction of real cars driven by real people and it is our attention to detail and the pride we take in every car that sets us apart from the rest.

It will depend very much on the car, from the size to the condition of the paint and the number of defects. Written quotations are free but a survey of the paint (for thickness, damage repair highlighting etc) does attract a charge which can be claimed back as part of any correction work

Where abouts in the Midlands are you based emps? Can't afford it at the moment but it may be an idea later on for the girlfriend's 206cc... she loves the car but it does have a fair few marks on it. :)

We cover pretty much all of the Midlands, there is a small mileage charge for anything over 40 miles from Birmingham.

Feel free to give me a shout if you would like a quote.
