MG6 Engine

There are more and more MG6 1.8T engines popping up on sites now. I am thinking there are more being written off now. I'm just wondering if anyone has managed to swap on into an MGF?

As I see it, I would just use the bare engine with the MEMS3 ECU. It really looks the same as I remember the one in the 75 looking.

Above my pay grade, but I found the article below very informative MG6 1.8t swap into the ZS
Do you have a live link to that article please ?
Hi guys I’m currently transplanting a 1.8 turbo into a rover 25 using the mg6 throttle pedal and throttle body , we are making an ecu and loom that will be plug and play across the mg rover group , the only trouble you will come up with on the tf etc is that the exhaust manifold is reverse to the rover zr/zs /25 in that it faces the rear bulkhead , so a custom manifold jobby will be needed but anything is possible

Where is the turbo located in that conversion on a F/ TF as others have tried and run up against problems finding space for it ?
It would have to go level with the rocker cover in my opinion as you wouldn’t have much room at back of engine
If you are getting someone to fabricate the pipework for that tell them you will put their details on the forum so that others can order more from them. It might help you negitiate a better price for their work as a one off.
