MG UK's dealers will be pleased by this.
Hmm maybe it is an actual normal hatchback type car then. I read the article that said it was a crossover vehicle.

Have to say it looks bigger than a 3 in those photos.

Wing mirror position is the same as the 3, quarter light glass are same as the 3 and fairly common on a number of MG models on both front and rear doors.

I wonder if it is basically a reworked 3 chassis with body changes and chassis changes to accommodate the electric drive train. As we know the 3 wasn't built on an electric vehicle platform.

I'd also imagine it is likely to electric only. Shame given it could possibly have the 1.3 turbo engine and EV hybrid as an option currently.

If they did a pure EV and a hybrid petrol it would really bolster the current offerings.

It also needs to be priced well. Around 25 to 27k for a car that size like the Zoe or Corsa E even for an electric vehicle is just crazy. If this can start around 20k it might just be a winner. Although I still think 20k for a small car is still ridiculous even at today's standards and electrification.

Looking very similar size and shape with lots of similarity to me at least.

Zhijj unnamed vehicle as yet.

Zhiji Motor is, as the current trend dictates, a joint venture between the car maker and a tech-company. SAIC Motor has 54% of the shares, Alibaba Group has 18%. Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Development (a Shanghai municipal fund) also has 18% in return for land-use rights and cheap loans. The remaining 10% will be distributed among future employees and buyers of the cars.

That's the price I've seen, £26-30k, Cheaper than 500e!

inflation will mean the price actually charged will be higher,
