New to forum, hi everyone. I have a 2015 MG3 with 50k miles . Changed the fuel filter as it was leaking but car then wouldnt start. Got a mobile mechanic to scan for faults and was possible camshaft sensor fault. Changed that, still not starting and on checking,it seems that the timing is out (chain seems to be jumping teeth when rocking the engine) What could have happened and will any valves be bent? Is it worth repairing? Thank You

The MG3 suffered from timing chains stretching on all models prior to 2016.
If there has been piston contact will have to determine, but from what you describe it sounds like it did not reach that point, did the mechanic not offer advise?
