mg3 immobiliser light flashing red after battery change

Has another found a fix for this. My MG garage has told me that this is not covered under warranty and would cost me between 200-300 to fix.

The manual tells me that the battery is getting low but I have tried 4 different batteries with no luck.

It also has effected the alarm system because it goes off after about 10 seconds if you don't turn on the ignition
Do you own a multi-meter? If not, then there isn't much you can do except take it to the MG garage or an auto electrician.
I was thinking that maybe there's a bad earth somewhere. Have a look at this and see if it helps:
