Has anyone got the mg3 2019 new version.

I found the radio automatically sets the volume to #7
I always turn it down to 4 or 5..
Is there away to set the volume to what I want, so when I restart the engine. I don't have to lower the volume of the radio

This is a known problem that affects the ZS SUV model as well.

The EV version had something called a Comfort 2 upgrade which remembered the last known volume level before the ignition is turned off rather than blasting the car's volume at 7.

Sadly there is no word on other models such as the MG3 getting the equivalent of the Comfort 2 upgrade.

My suggestion would be to press and hold the volume button until you see just the clock.

This is annoying but it certainly beats having the radio on loud when you start the ignition.

Cheers..

Thanks for the info.. Hopefully they'll fix it soon
BTW, there is a little tip which involves creating a silent MP3 file on a USB memory stick and getting the radio unit to play this before switching off the car.

After restarting the car, it will default to the USB memory stick and as it's silent, it doesn't matter if the volume goes back to 7.

You can then lower the volume to 4 then select the radio.

If this sounds like too much like hard work, then train yourself up to automatically press the mute button either on the radio unit area or the steering wheel controls. You'll soon get muscle memory. :ROFLMAO:

Cheers..

I own the new shape mg3 but I’ve not discovered this issue. The radio usually comes on at the same volume I left it, I do find the reverse sensors to be quiet to the point where I have to turn the radio right down.
