MG ZT Instrument panel - why no chrome rings

Why is it that the Rover 75 got the chrome surrounds on the dials and the MG ZT didnt - I think it would look 100 times better if the MG had them too...... discuss :p

It didn't have chrome on the outside either.

It's easy enough to change the dial packs over if you want that sort of look.

Dont want the old style guages just the chrome rings - as its sport car thing to have chrome ringed dials right?

Sorry should have explained myself better - the rings are on a separate piece of plastic and could be changed over in the IPK so you'd still have your dials but with the chrome rings as well, all you'd need is an old 75 IPK.

Have a look at the thumbnail to give you an idea.

ooooh! very tempted by this :p is it a big job removing the IPK? Is that a pic from a "how to"?

This is a how to that I did for changing over the dial pack but it would be useful for you if you wanted to fit the instrument chrome rings

1 more query - ZT clock surrounds are silverish colour and 75s seem black do you think a 75 clock surround would look good on ZT dials?
