Right folks, this has been going on for a while now but it is gradually getting worse...

When I start my ZR 105 when the engine is cold (i.e. first thing in the morning or if it hasn't been used all day) I have to hold the revs at 2-3000rpm until it is up to temperature, otherwise when I take my foot off the clutch the revs just drop all the way down and the car stalls. Now, sometimes when the engine is half-warm, it doesn't quite stall, but the revs drop almost all the way down and then seem to recover at the last second before stalling. When this happen the car doesn't seem to idle properly as the car shakes and wobbles quite a bit (although the revs hold at just below 1000rpm).

Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Dead or disconnected ecu coolant temperature sensor. When I disconnected mine the other day the engine revs dropped to their default warm engine speed so this caould be the problem. A new temperature sender costs about a tenner and takes 10 mins to fit.
