First post and its a problem.
The car won't start. There is a fast clicking noise (starter motor?) and the alarm beeps in time to the fast clicking. Its different to the 2 tone noise that the immobiliser makes, its as if the alarm wants to kick in but doesn't. All the dashboard lights, leccy windows, main lights work.
Both key fobs work and have new batteries in them.
A bit of background that might make the difference; my boot hasn't been closing since Monday. I left the car completley unlocked the first night. Last night i locked it, the doors lock but the hazards don't flash 3 times. I wonder if this has somehow reset the immobiliser overnight, or somehow drained the battery (hence the starter motor not turning the engine over)
Does anybody have any idea's??? your help / insight would be appreciated
