The MG marque celebrates 100 years this year and has a big event at the British Motor Museum, try googling classic car shows near me. I prefer local shows that cater for all classics, my experience is most (not all) MG event owners tend to think TF's are not "quite" classics. Each to their own I just like cars and will gladly look and talk about any car. Last year met and talked to the owner of a tuned and supercharged Reliant Kitten!!! he must be mad but then again so am I.

Depends on your location but these are a couple that I usually try to go to which always have a good turn out of Fs and TFs.

April 15 (Sat) - Cofton Park, Birmingham
Pride Of Longbridge - It is just a lot of Rovers and MG's parked up in a field so don't expect too much from this.

June 4th (Sun) - Cotswold Wildlife Park
MG's in the Park - This is a yearly show put on by Oxfordshire MG Owners' Club. Entry is free for the Driver to the show and the park if you are in an MG, and passengers I think are half price. Its always a good turn out with lots of cars and there is an optional road run in the afternoon. http://www.oxfordshiremgoc.co.uk/mgs_in_the_park.html

June 10-11 (Sat-Sun) - Silverstone Circuit
'MG and Triumph 100*' - This takes place of MG Live, the large yearly MG event held on Saturday and Sunday at Silverstone. Both days are basically the same with some racing on circuit and other bits and pieces going on. You can also camp there over the weekend where there is usually some entertainment later on the Saturday night. MG 100 - MG Car Club

August 6 (Sun) - Pateley Bridge, Harrogate
Harrogate MG Club Show - Have been to this several times, its nice show in a great location surrounded by some lovely roads. It used to be a weekend event with camping but sadly for the past couple of years it has just been the Sunday show only and I've not made it up there. Our Show

*Maths was never my stongpoint but isn't 1924-2023 = 99?

Pateley Bridge that brings fond memories back drinking, walking, drinking, camping and drinking surprised I can remember any of it. Stamford Classic Car Show is my favourite very friendly and located in the middle of a beautiful historic town. The show is organised by the local Rotary Club and all monies raised go to local charities, technically entry is free but donations are welcome. Don't go expecting a prize as there is no judging just people willing to chat which is what I like.
Re the centenary take your pick Morris Garages was up and running pre 1920 and sold modified Austin Chummys under the Morris Garages name from 1923. MG as a named company was not incorporated until 1930 all this according to the MG history book I was given at Xmas.

I think you’ll find it’s organised by Round Table (I’m a member 😂). Not seen a date for this yet, have you? Usually August time?

Yes, maybe the show should be called MG 93 and Triumph 100. though I guess that doesn't work so well for the marketing
- Don't mind me, I 'm just touchy as I have a car with 1924 stamped on all the badges 🙂.

Steve 55W sorry credit where it's due, it's normally the Sunday before the August BH Mon, bit early to look/book yet got Holbeach and Parsons Drove shows before then. Talking of local shows the Holbeach show is about a 500m walk from my house, admittedly I have to drive round the block to get the car on the field.
