MG Monthly UK Registrations

This thread is to discuss, and make guesses about, MG monthly registrations in the UK which are generally on the up - but how much?

I'm not the only fan of MGs who's not here as often as they used to be and I don't think we have the quorum any more to run a separate thread for each month, but if we have a thread with no month in the title, then anyone can start the ball rolling for subsequent months and update the summary of who has guessed what in their own post.

So March, first month of reg change to 23.
March 22 9,367(!) following Feb 22 911(!)
Feb 23 1,014.
I'm going superhigh superfly with 11,247. I wonder what supply is like, and how many customers are still waiting for their orders? Fleet registrations will decide it, surely.

Saw my first MG4 out in the wild yesterday, I think they will sell a lot of them as long as they can get them into the country fast enough. As for my March guess, let's be a bit optimistic and say 7821.

March guess this month is 11,750
Another "double the entire sales for the whole year when pat bought his MG3 which is still almost like new in just one month" guess there. How foolish will I look if the total is 11.780! :D

I'll repeat my 8,000 prediction.
I'll add that in, then.
Result is a a stonking 12,232 or 4.25% of the market. No Top Ten models, though.
Dave Abbott fortunately didn't just add one to my guess! so I win!
Analysis follows.

With the amount of sales and the MG's out on the roads, it should mean that OE spec parts might become available? Driving down the cost of maintaining the cars down the line?

As in "pattern" parts to the OE spec? MG is now whomping Renault and occasionally outselling Vauxhall so it is gradually becoming worth someone's while to make these. However the long warranty may speak against it, though if my 3 had had a 7-year warranty it would now be out of it anyway and it seems as fresh as a daisy. It'll be some years before today's new cars are out of warranty and what the driving situation is like by then is anyone's guess..
I win, but for the benefit of the MP3:

Incidentally, looks like I changed my guess between first posting it here and putting in the league table, in which case dave probably wins. I read Felipe Massa wants a recount for 2008 though...
For both the month and YTD Nissan is strong, going to 6th place. Peugeot is not doing well in 2023, though and, as it falls behind MG,. MG is now beating all French marques individually. For month March, Vauxhall trailed MG as well as Peugeot, though, so MG was up to 10th place ahead of both Vauxhall and Tesla (though Model 3 and Model Y were No.1 and No.2 models).
YTD MG is 11th due to selling less than Vauxhall.
Month 1. VW 2. Ford 3. Kia
YTD 1. VW 2. Ford 3. Audi
A good job well done Chris keeping us all well informed.

Keep up the good work.

Just hoping that parts that aren't covered under the warranty, brake pads, discs, clutches and the like, become available from places like eurocarparts. Makes maintaining the cars easier and cheaper by not paying dealer labour prices.
Are no non-main dealer parts available for SAIC MGs then?
Let's kick things off with 13,000 for April.
15,001 why not although it will probably be half of that max.
