The market is really falling. Today, we all have a chance to see that there were not just empty words about coming crisis. I am from Canada, Toronto, Canada Population (2020) - Population Stat, and I hear from many friends from different countries that the forecasts are not the best one for the next year as well. The factories and mills are closing and it is frustrating.

MG Motor UK's sales are rising strongly in a UK market which despite Covid is only slightly falling, but MG's results are strongest. A lot of this is about having the EVs in the right place at the right time: MG ZS EV sold IIRC over 1,100 in September (1,163?) beating all by itself three marques each of which individually was outselling all MG models only a few years ago - but ZS EV itself now outsells them together. So only ZS EV outsold all smart PLUS all Subaru PLUS all SsangYong!

Just back from a lovely little break in Norfolk and was surprised to find a MG garage (Crayford's?) in the tiny village of Mundesley. Must be doing well as we saw lots of 3's and ZS's. Reminds me of my localish garage in Whaplode Drove, middle of nowhere but selling lots to locals.

And of course I got mine at Brands too, back when sales were far lower they were actually no.1 in the country despite having one of the smallest local populations of drivers.

As it entered the buiding, in July 2018 the branch in Mundeseley was mentioned along with the branch in Holt, though I had presumed one of these locations referred to the Norwich dealership of Crayford and Abbs NMG which is now Holden MG. So although there are two branches there is only one address in the list, which is Holt (a "Gainsborough" as we might call it). adaveabbott might read that here but I'll pass it on to him also!

DG has repeated a target of 20,000 sales for the year which from 14,236 YTD, means some 2,000 a month

Over 2,000 feels like a lot given that Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland (regionally but presumably including Glasgow, Falkirk and Edinburgh) are now in some kind of lockdown, as well as extra restrictions on Manchester and other Northern towns as well as less-onerous ones on London.
On the other hand, big deliveries. A lot of people are getting the same income but have slashed their outgoings (rail fares, flights, entertaining) but maybe the days have arrived 1) of the EV and 2) of journos valuing a well-priced car beyond judging it off the net by brand.
