Absolutely stunning.

Best example I've seen for literally years. Well done :)
Thats stunning. What was it you had done? Full respray?
Superb, looks better than if it just rolled out of the factory.

Thanks all.
The car was looking a bit 'surface rusty' so
Had all 4 wheel arches re-done as they were starting to come through
Sills tidied up at the back and underneath including the jacking points
Bottom of the offside B post de-rusted
Under the bonnet de-rusted
Front crossmember de-rusted
Nearside front door de-rusted
Nearside and offside door rubbiing strips re-stuck as they were gradually coming off
I'm very happy with the work they did. I told them not to polish it as i've got to put the MG Turbo decal on and I want a friend of mine to 'de-swirl' all of the paintwork and make it 'mirror' like.

During the winter I have many other jobs to do on it to bring it back to the condition it was 4-5 years ago when it was gleeming. Most would have it as it is but I know what needs doing.
Its a very nice car. Please bring it down South for a some shows. :p I would love to see it. :)

I do go south in it sometimes as my family are in Essex
Very nice.

In case you have not already noticed, these cars are appreciating in value...particularly nice examples like yours.

An appreciating car value ..... Now there's a thing. .... and there's a recession on too.

Yea have noticed that John, the white Turbo went for good money. I was going to sell this last year but my wife told me off for even thinking such a thing.:slap:
Such nice exmaple, worthy of uploading the pictures to the maestro montego gallery on this site so they wont be lost! (Upload button is top right)

MG montego

What a fantastic sight.

Not seen any montego's for years; let alone one in such superb condition.
Well done to you -

I want one now !
I just love those wheels! I can't find them for my Montego.

I also like the car itself a lot!
Thanks guys.
MG Montego Turbo's are very rare now
The wheels are new, well new old stock, that I bought off a friend of mine.
Fantastic looking car. Is it as standard as it looks or has it been tweaked at all?

I made a bit of a contribution to AROnline about the early development of the engine. It can be found on the site under Engines - O Series Turbo, take one.

The whole car is standard and not messed with. The only subtle additions are the cross spoke alloys instead of dish alloys, MG Turbo door decals, (both are on now), lumbar support on the drivers seat and re-furbed seat covers as per my other thread
